Two real engagements, anonymised. The problem, the work, and what changed.
Security incident
An account was stolen even though two-step sign-in was switched on and working. We locked it in sixteen minutes.
Problem: the attacker captured the user’s live session after they had already passed the two-step check.
Outcome: identity monitoring raised the alert, the session was revoked and the account contained before any mail was sent from it.
Read the case study ›Backup
The backup had been protecting a share that no longer existed.
Problem: a green backup dashboard, pointed at a path nobody used any more, while the live data sat unprotected.
Outcome: repointed to the live share on a four-hourly schedule, then proved with a real restore rather than a status screen.

How we support businesses across the region
Distance is the practical problem in Northern Ontario. Here is how the service is actually arranged, so you know what is remote, what is scheduled, and what costs extra.
Remote support is the default, and it covers most of the work
We work remotely. Monitoring, patching, security response, account changes and the majority of day-to-day fixes are done without anyone travelling, which is what makes the same service affordable whether you are in Thunder Bay or several hours up the highway.
Onsite visits are scheduled, not on-demand
Your agreement sets either monthly or quarterly onsite visits, each 3.5 hours, for a physical inspection and clean of your network and server equipment at your main site. We pick the recurring day with you during onboarding and send a reminder 7 business days ahead.
Extra onsite work is quoted, and we will tell you when remote is better
Onsite work beyond your scheduled visits is billed at the published onsite rate and quoted first. We do not promise a technician on your doorstep within a set time — the distances up here make that a promise nobody can keep, and your critical response commitment is met remotely.
Several sites, or no site at all
Many of the organisations we support run more than one location, or have staff working from home and from community offices on very different connections. We also run cloud desktops for teams whose line-of-business software struggles over a slow or satellite link, so the application runs in the data centre and only the screen travels.
We support clients across Northwestern and Northeastern Ontario, including Thunder Bay, Nipigon, Marathon, Geraldton, Timmins, Kirkland Lake and Matheson. We work remotely and do not operate a walk-in office — #279 – 1100 Memorial Avenue is a mailing and shipping address.
